Chicago, IL – On Wednesday, October 10th, Northside Democracy for America (NDFA) endorsed Committeeman Robert Murphy for alderman of the 39th ward.
“I’m honored to have the endorsement of NDFA,” said Robert Murphy. “NDFA’s endorsement process is open and transparent, which is similar to the process I have put in place in the 39th ward. Together, we will continue to advocate for a people-powered approach to government and politics.”
NDFA is a grassroots political organization dedicated to electing socially progressive, fiscally responsible, ethically committed Democrats to all levels of government. Murphy secured an overwhelming 95% of the vote.
“We are very proud to endorse Robert Murphy for alderman of the 39th ward,” said Northside DFA Co-Chair Matt McWhinney. “Robert is an active and longtime member of NDFA and has shown, as committeeman, that he is a hard worker and tireless advocate for an ethical and transparent government.”
The endorsement from Northside Democracy for America adds to Murphy’s growing list of endorsements. Murphy has already earned the support of Cook County Clerk David Orr, State Sen. Heather Steans, Dem. Assessor Nominee Fritz Kaegi, Prof. Dick Simpson, Fmr. Governor Pat Quinn, and Committeemen Eamon Kelly and Aaron Goldstein.
